Semarang – Monday morning, October 24 2022, as many as 70 Spatial Planning and Land Planning students gathered in front of the Study Program Building, Vocational School, Diponegoro University with an agenda to prepare for departure to Purworejo Regency to carry out survey activities. The agenda for preparing and releasing students before the survey was attended by the Head of the Land and Spatial Planning Study Program, namely Khristiana Dwi Astuti, S.T., M.T., and the Secretary of the Study Program namely Pangi, .S.T., M.T. On this occasion, the lecturer team collected data regarding students who were ready to leave for the survey both in terms of numbers and in terms of their health and the lecturer team also gave directions for safety during the trip and during the suvey in Purworejo Regency. PTRP class 2020 students also prepare First Aid and Handy Talky (HT) for the smooth communication of road guides. After preparation, data collection, briefing, and praying, the students started thei journey at 08.30 WIB with three CheckPoint planned, namely the Ambarawa Gas Station, Secang Gas Station, and Purworejo Square.
The field survey activity is one of the mandatory series in the Geospatial Data Processing Studio course. This activity takes place on October 24-29 2022. This activity is a follow-up step from the Spatial and Land Planning Survey Studio and in the Studio this time students focus on collecting data that is simultaneously equipped with spatial information, This survey also carried out practicum courses for the Cadastral Framework and Topography Photogrammetry courses in order to support the needs of Geospatial Studio data which cannot be obtained easily such as UAV flights to take aerial photographs of cloud-covered areas on their CSRT (High Resolution Satellite Imagery). And also measuring the coordinates of the GCP (Ground Control Point) ICP (Independent Control Point) using the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) which is used for Post Processing aerial photo data at the Orthorectification stage.
The ultimate goal of this Geospatial Data Processing Studio Survey is that after collecting all the data and information from all aspects needed in the preparation of the Spatial Plan, students can process the data into spatial data or information or in the form of a map. This makes it easier for ordinary people to read the information that is equipped with the location in the study area. The macro study area in this course is Purworejo Regency, while the Detailde Plan is divided into six groups, including: Bener District, Loano District, Kaligesing District, Purwodadi District, Ngombol District, and Grabag District.
