Bandung: The Center of Spatial Planning and Land Survey (COSPLAY) Team of the Diponegoro University Spatial Planning and Land Management Study Program consisting of Anisa Taghsya Safina, Muhammad Almeiza Thadea and Akmal Rizqinal Ula Ainur Rifqi successfully won 3rd place in the Geopoint IMG event organized by the Geodesy Student Association (IMG) ITB on Saturday, November 30, 2024. This activity carries the theme “A Wonderful Adventure to New Santara,” which aims to create a forum for introducing and maximizing the benefits of science in geodesy and geomatics to the general public. The champions won by the COSPLAY Team were in the Scientific Paper (K2TI) and Geoinnovation competitions. They emphasized the importance of sustainable planning, especially in increasingly rapid urbanization. In their presentation, they explained that settlement planning can be done more efficiently and effectively by utilizing the right technology and data. They also show how integrating the CA-ANN method and population projection can help determine the ideal location for housing development, public facilities, and other supporting facilities.

Sustainable cities and settlements are the central theme of this paper. The COSPLAY Team argues that good planning will improve the community’s quality of life and maintain environmental balance. Using geospatial data, they can identify vulnerable areas to disasters and plan safer and more sustainable development. This competition is a place to show academic abilities and a platform to encourage the younger generation to care more about environmental issues and urban planning. The COSPLAY Team hopes their work can be a reference for policymakers and the community in planning a better future. With the spirit of innovation and creativity, the COSPLAY Team has shown that collaboration between technology and science can produce solutions that benefit society. This Scientific Paper is a real example of how the younger generation can contribute to creating a more sustainable and livable city in the future.
