To improve the management of clean water services, students of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) implemented the program “PAMSIMAS Pipe Network Mapping (Community-based drinking water and sanitation provision) in Soka Hamlet, Lerep Village.” This program aims to identify and map the existing pipe infrastructure to overcome various problems faced by PAMSIMAS managers in the area. With accurate mapping, it is hoped that water resource management can be carried out more efficiently and effectively, providing better access to clean water for the community. On Tuesday (17/12/2024), the PAMSIMAS Pipe Network map output was handed over to Soka Hamlet.

Pipe network mapping was carried out by conducting field observations and direct interviews with PAMSIMAS managers, which allowed students to process accurate and up-to-date data. The student who carried out this activity program, Fahrizal Rifqi Ramadhan, explained that with this information, they could design the right solution to improve the clean water distribution system in Soka Hamlet. In addition, this mapping is also the first step in planning the improvement and development of PAMSIMAS infrastructure in the future.

During the program’s implementation, KKN students were accompanied by experienced supervisors, who provided direction and guidance at every stage of the work. The methods used in this mapping follow principles that have been proven effective, as explained in various sources regarding clean water management and infrastructure. With support from the village and local community, this activity ran smoothly and received a positive response from residents.

The results of this mapping will be used to improve PAMSIMAS infrastructure and as basic data for developing a web-based application designed to facilitate the management of clean water services. This application is expected to provide transparent and accurate information to the community regarding the condition of the pipe network and the availability of clean water. Thus, the community can participate more actively in managing water resources in their village.

The PAMSIMAS pipe network mapping program in Soka Hamlet is essential in improving the quality of clean water services in the area. This initiative not only contributes to improving the community’s quality of life but also plays a role in creating a better water management system. With collaboration between academics, communities, and government, clean water management in Lerep Village can run more effectively and sustainably.
