The Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) activity of Diponegoro University implemented a community service program in Tegalrejo Hamlet, Lerep Village. This program aims to improve the quality of life of the community through various initiatives, one of which is “PAMSIMAS Pipe Network Mapping (Community-based drinking water and sanitation provision) in Tegalrejo Hamlet, Lerep Village,” which focuses on collecting accurate data on the clean water infrastructure network in the area.

In its implementation, KKN students conducted field observations and interviews with PAMSIMAS managers and residents. The student who carried out this activity program, Fahrizal Rifqi Ramadhan, explained that with this information, they could design the right solution to improve the clean water distribution system in Tegalrejo Hamlet. In addition, to get a comprehensive picture of the water distribution system. The collected data will be used to create a map to help managers plan improvements and develop clean water infrastructure.

On Tuesday (17/12/2024), the results of this mapping were given to PAMSIMAS managers, which are expected to help managers identify pipe locations that require immediate repair. In addition, the PAMSIMAS Pipe Network Map can be used by PAMSIMAS managers to improve the quality of clean water services in Tegalrejo Hamlet. It is hoped that existing problems can be resolved more effectively.

Community involvement is an essential aspect of this program. Through discussions and interviews, the KKN team gathered information about residents’ challenges in accessing clean water. This participatory approach ensures that the proposed solutions are relevant and meet the community’s needs so that they can be well received.

The PAMSIMAS pipe network mapping program in Tegalrejo Hamlet is essential in improving the quality of clean water services in the area. This initiative not only contributes to improving the community’s quality of life but also plays a role in creating a better water management system. With collaboration between academics, the community, and the government, clean water management in Lerep Village can run more effectively and sustainably.
