The UNDIP Thematic Community Service Student Team, especially Maheswara Rifky Pasopati who is a student majoring in Spatial Planning and Land, Vocational School, UNDIP, carried out a series of programs starting with a location survey and mapping of potential points for PAMSIMAS infrastructure development. The determination of potential points is based on the results of a land capability analysis that specifically focuses on the land capability unit for clean water provision in Soka Hamlet. In its implementation, students collaborate with village officials and local PAMSIMAS managers to identify strategic areas that can be optimized.

The initial stage carried out was collecting data on existing water source location points in Soka Hamlet. The location of the water source was identified on October 8, 2024, with the results being the identification of 2 existing water source locations in Soka Hamlet. The next stage was to conduct a land capability analysis carried out with spatial analysis of data such as rainfall, slope, soil type, and others. This analysis focused on the land capability unit for clean water availability in order to find out more specifically how the land capability in Soka Hamlet is in providing clean water sources with the final output in the form of areas with very high development capabilities that can potentially be used as clean water source locations. The next stage was to conduct validation in the field which was carried out on November 25, 2024. Interviews were also conducted with the Head of Soka Hamlet and the PAMSIMAS manager of Soka Hamlet in order to obtain more in-depth information. This was also done to validate the results of the analysis that had been carried out previously. The output of this program is a Map of Potential Locations for PAMSIMAS Infrastructure Development which is then submitted to the PAMSIMAS management of Soka Hamlet.

Through this KKN Program, Diponegoro University KKN Students, together with the support of Supervisors and the village, have succeeded in carrying out a program to determine potential locations for PAMSIMAS infrastructure development in Soka Hamlet. It is hoped that this program will be useful for the hamlet in the future in determining which locations can be determined as points for adding new PAMSIMAS infrastructure to support the clean water needs of the community in Soka Hamlet.
