The Head of the Semarang City Regional Development Planning Aggency Budi Prakosa, S.T., M.T., officially closed a series of practical work activities for Diponegoro University students from the STr Spatial Planning and Land Management Study Program as well as the Urban and Regional Planning S1 Study Program in the Semarang City Bappeda meeting room Tuesday (27 September 2022). The closing of the student practical work activities at Diponegoro University was also attended by represntatives from the Semarang City Population Control and Famliy Planning Service, Semarang City Culture and Tourism Office, Head of Planning for Semarang City Bappeda, Head of Infrastructure Planning and Regional Development of Semarang City Bappeda, Head of Sector Research and Development of Semarang City Bappeda, Spatial Planning and Land Management Study Program of Undip Vocational School, Undergraduate Regional and Urban Planning Study Program, Faculty of Engineering Undip, and student field Partners (CPNS Bappeda).

As a representative and lecturer for students of the STr Spatial Planning and Land Management Study Program, Reny Yesiana, S.T., M.T. expressed his gratitude to the Bappeda Semarang City and the Semarang City Population Control and Family Planning Office for the opportunities and support that have been given so far. He hopes that this practical work activity can be a good start for the implementation of cooperation in other fields related to Spatial Planning and Land Management.

In this closing series, students presented the results of the practical work activity “Profile of Quality Family Villages in Semarang CIty”. Based on the National Population and Family Planning Agency, a Quality Family Village (Kampung KB) is defined as an area unit at the village level where there is integration and convergence in organizing, empowering, and strengthening family institutions in all its dimensions in order to improve the quality of human resources, families and communities. The establishment of quality family villages in Semarang City is based on Governor Regulation Number 77 of 2017 concerning the Development of Family Planning Villages in Centeal Java Province. The total number of villages is 34, but only 16 of the practical work study areas are family villages of pilot quality, For students, praktical work activities that last for three months (June 22-September 20, 2022) are a medium to increase knowledge and work experience. With the closing practical work activities, products in the form of 16 quality family village profiles in the city of Semarang were symbolically handed over. The profile is expected to be useful for the Bappeda of Semarang City and the Departmend of Population Control and Family Planning of the City of Semarang in terms of providing recommendations for improving the quality of related villages and supporting the realization of “Semarang is getting Greater!”. Not only that, this activity is also expected to be useful for the Diponegoro University Spatial Planning and Land Management Study Program in expanding the network of relations or cooperation (JSP)
