Semarang, March 4 2023 PTRP students batch 2019 totaling around 121 people and 4 accompanying guardian lecturers namely Khristiana Dwi Astuti, S.T., M.T., Pangi S.T., Mitha Asyita Rahmawaty S.T., M.T., and Dr. Jawoto Sih Setyono S.T., MDP will carry out course activities, namely Field Work Lectures (KKL) which will be held in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara from March 4 to march 8 2023. Departure by land route from Semarang to Surabaya starts from the Diponegoro University Vocational School, and continues via the air, namely the plane from Surabaya to Lombok. The theme that will be used that will be used in this Field Work Lectures (KKL) activity is “Planning for the Development of Tourism-Based Areas in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ).  In its implementation, students are divided into seven groups with different sub-themes, namely: provision of basci infrastructure, provision of land disputes, promotion and sustainability of tourism, control of space utlization, and evaluation of planning and development of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

In five days of activities on Lombok Island students made visits to both government and non-government agencies which were the objectives of the KKL activities, namely PT Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) + Construction of a Clean Water Management Installation with Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Technology (SWRO), Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of West Nusa Tenggara Province, Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Central Lombok Regency, and Tourism Office of Central Lombok Regency. Apart from conducting agency visits, the group also made observations regarding infrastructure facilities, especially in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), such as the Mandalika Circuit and the Bil-Mandalika Bypass. Observations at these locations are intended to observe the effect of development of the area the occurs. Apart from making observations on infrastructure facilities, the group also made observations of traditional villages on Lombok Island, namely Sade Traditional Village and Bileblante Tourism Village. This visit aims to see how the existing tourism sector on Lombok Island influences existing regional planning.

With the activities of Field Work Lectures (KKL) students can become a forum for improving abilities, especially in the field of observation and students feel how direct work experience is for Spatial Planning and Land Management students themselves.
