On Friday, February 2, 2024, a visit from the D4 Spatial Planning and Land Planning study program at the Diponegoro University Vocational School was carried out to the D4 Demography and Civil Registration Study Program at the UNS Vocational School with the agenda of cooperation initiation activities.
Collaboration initiation activity with the D4 Demography and Civil Registration (DPS) study program, Vocational School, Surakarta State University. The DPS D4 Study Program was established in 2017 and has had 3 (three) graduate classes, namely 2017, 2018, and 2019, and has implemented a learning system of 4 theories and three practices. D4 DPS also has a living laboratory, namely seven areas of Greater Solo and Greater Semarang at the Population and Civil Registry agency, with a scientific basis in law, demography, applied statistics, and information technology.
Some D4 DPS courses with D4 PTRP theory and practice that can be collaborated are:
- Basic Demography (semester 1)
- Population dynamics (semester 2), related to obtaining data through censuses, surveys, Susenas, and others, and calculating fertility and mortality.
- Demographic Techniques (semester 3), related to population projections, Regency projects with raw data from BPS 2020 (purchasing raw data without names, addresses, and NIK)
- Population Planning (semester 6), related to employment, population quantity
Implementing these courses can be adapted to the courses in D4 PTRP, especially the Demography course, and does not rule out the possibility of other classes.
