Submission of Garbage Disposal Location Map to Ngawonggo Village Officials (Source: Personal Documentation, 2024)
Ngawonggo, Ceper, Klaten (02/02/2024). The work program during Real Work Lectures (KKN) is a form of community service carried out by university students to make a real contribution to society at the village level. In this context, mapping waste problems is an essential first step in understanding environmental conditions in villages and formulating appropriate solutions to overcome these problems. To make this happen, UNDIP KKN TIM 1 2023/2024 student Natasya Chrishelly Br Bukit contributed to creating a map of waste disposal locations in Ngawonggo Village as one of the monodisciplinary activities. The map was handed over to Ngawonggo village officials on Friday, February 2, 2023.
The first step in mapping the waste problem is identifying the areas and types of waste in the village. The KKN team conducted a comprehensive survey in all village areas to determine locations prone to waste accumulation and the dominant types of garbage.
This survey includes mapping irregular waste disposal points, densely populated areas, and potential locations for waste management. To map the waste problem more accurately, the KKN team utilized technology and geospatial mapping. Data obtained from the survey was processed using QGIS software to be visualized in the form of a comic map, making it easier to understand.

By making this map of waste locations, it is hoped to provide input to the community and village officials in plans to overcome the waste problems. This information can also be a reference for planning waste transportation routes that the village will carry out or appropriate locations for building waste banks.
