A total of 69 students from the Applied Spatial Planning and Land Planning Undergraduate Study Program at the Vocational School, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Semarang, with high enthusiasm took the competency test held by the Association of Indonesian Expert Planners (IAP). This activity was carried out as an effort to evaluate and measure students’ abilities and qualifications in applying the theoretical and practical knowledge needed in the field of spatial and land planning.

Participants in this competency test will be evaluated based on their understanding of the latest regulations, ability to apply sustainable planning methodologies, and skills in dealing with practical challenges that may arise in daily work in the field. This activity is an important step in preparing students to enter an increasingly competitive world of work.

According to the Head of the Applied Undergraduate Study Program in Spatial and Land Planning at the UNDIP Vocational School, student participation in this competency test is very important to ensure that they have qualifications that are in line with industry demands. “We hope that this competency test can be a means of measuring the extent of students’ ability to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned during college,” he said.

In supporting this process, lecturers and teaching staff have provided intensive guidance and provision to students from the start of the educational process. This is expected to strengthen student preparation in facing competency tests and improve the quality of graduates when entering the world of work.

The students themselves welcomed this competency test activity with enthusiasm, seeing it as an opportunity to test themselves and show their potential in their field. They hope that the results of this competency test will open up more opportunities for career development in the future.
