Semarang, September 25, 2024 – The Applied Undergraduate Study Program of Spatial Planning and Land Management, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) once again presents a guest lecture with a very relevant topic, namely “Spatial and Non-Spatial Data for Spatial Planning” This event was held via the Zoom Meeting platform on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

This lecture was presented by a resource person, Dr. Hendra Sumaryana, S.Sos., M.T., Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Temanggung Regency. In his presentation, Dr. Hendra explained the vital role of spatial and non-spatial data in the spatial planning process. Spatial data provides detailed geographic information, while non-spatial data, such as demographic and socio-economic data, helps measure the impact and relevance of spatial planning to the community.

This event took place from 14.00 to 16.00 WIB and was attended enthusiastically by students and lecturers. Participants were given in-depth insights into how combining spatial and non-spatial data can produce more effective and sustainable spatial planning.

Dr. Hendra also shared his experience utilizing both data types in strategic decision-making in Temanggung Regency and invited students to understand better how technology and data can be an essential foundation in spatial planning.

This lecture is a valuable opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge regarding the latest developments in spatial planning while interacting directly with experts in the field. The Applied Undergraduate Study Program of Spatial Planning and Land Affairs UNDIP continues to be committed to providing a quality learning experience through collaboration with experts in the field of spatial planning.
