Surabaya: A student of the Planning and Spatial Planning Study Program at Diponegoro University named Mindy Melya Azzedara, successfully won 3rd place in the Geoword 2024 event organized by the Big Event Himage ITS division on October 19, 2024. This activity raised the theme “Planning Urban Green Zones Using Geospatial Data for Enhanced City Well-being,” highlighting the importance of planning green zones in urban areas using geospatial data. In the competition, Mindy demonstrated her innovation and creativity in designing sustainable solutions to environmental problems in big cities. With an impressive presentation, she explained how geospatial data can be used to plan green open spaces that beautify the city and improve the community’s quality of life. “The use of geospatial data in green zone planning is essential to create a healthier and more comfortable environment for residents,” said Mindy in her presentation.
