Semarang Regency: PAMSIMAS (the abbreviation for Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision) is a program that aims to improve community accessibility to sustainable drinking water and sanitation services. The PAMSIMAS program involves active participation from the community in the planning, development, and management of clean water infrastructure, which the government and related parties also support. Thematic KKN of Diponegoro University for the 2024 period, which carries the central theme of “Optimizing the Management of the Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Program (PAMSIMAS) Digitally in Lerep Village, Semarang Regency” is here to help manage PAMSIMAS in Lerep Village, one of which is PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal which is located in Soka Hamlet through mapping the coverage of houses served by PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal.
The PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal housing coverage mapping program aims to identify and visualize houses in Soka Hamlet that have received access to clean water services through PAMSIMAS. This mapping helps ensure that the distribution of clean water services runs efficiently, reduces inequality of access, and supports data-based decision-making for sustainable infrastructure development. This program was implemented by Reza Salsabila Az Zahra, a student majoring in Spatial Planning and Land, Vocational School, UNDIP, under the guidance of Ms. Yayuk Astuti, S.Si, Ph.D as the field supervisor of this Thematic KKN. The coverage of PAMSIMAS-served houses was mapped by recording and mapping existing houses in Soka Hamlet. The essential data used was PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal customer data totaling 505 customers consisting of 487 houses and 19 non-houses. Then, a classification was carried out on houses served and houses not served by PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal based on survey data, observations, and direct interviews with PAMSIMAS managers so that the data used was accurate and validated by PAMSIMAS managers. After the data was analyzed, it was found that PAMSIMAS could not serve houses in RT 01, RT 09, part of RT 05, and part of RT 03 of Soka Hamlet. With the discovery of this condition, it is hoped that it can help PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal expand the clean water distribution network to areas not served.
The results of the mapping of the coverage of houses served by PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal were submitted to the PAMSIMAS management and also the Head of Soka Hamlet on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Lerep Village Hall. This mapping was produced through collaboration between students, supervising lecturers, PAMSIMAS Tirto Manunggal management, the Head of Soka Hamlet, and the Soka Hamlet Community, who always actively participated in the preparation of this program. This mapping provides data-based information related to the coverage of houses served by PAMSIMAS, which is used to improve the efficiency of clean water management and assists in planning the development or improvement of infrastructure needed to meet the needs of clean water in Soka Hamlet.
